Kay’s Reapings: CVS (5/9)

Posted on: 05/09/2010

I cannot believe I went to CVS for the first time in MONTHS to “coupon”. Early last month, I had to fill a prescription for my baby girl and received a $4 ECB on the bottom of my receipt. This ECB has been sitting in my cabinet since 4/10! sighsssssss….

Today, I decided to brush off the CVS dust and put together a little transaction to roll this ECB before it expired on the 24th of this month. I pulled up the ad on here and tried to come up with something that would produce the less OOP but reap me something that we would actually use.

So here’s the harvest:

Transaction 1:

(2) $2 ECB wyb Right guard sport, total Defense or dry idea 2-4oz $2.49 limit 2
$1.50 Right Guard Total Defense IP (no longer printing) at Coupons
$1 Right Guard Total Defense IP at Coupons
$1.50/1 (FACEBOOK)

(Can you believe that we went to two stores looking for these and when we found them at the second store someone had them hidden behind the other Right Guard Deodorant?! 🙂 )

(1) U By Kotex liners 50-60ct,pads 14-18 ct or tampons 18ct Free after ecb
price $4.99 ecb back – $4.99 limit 1 (free)

Kotex ( U )$1 Print

the CVS.com coupon is a store coupon. making this a $2 potential MM matched with a manufacturer coupon

used:

(1) $4ECB
(1) $1/1 Kotex U (CVS)
(1) $1/1 Kotex U (printable)
(2) $1.50/1 Right Guard Total Defense (FACEBOOK)

Total OOP (including tax): $1.39

Transaction 2:

(1) $2 ECB wyb Huggies jumbo pack diapers, pullups goodnights or overnights $8.49 limit 1
$3 Huggies IP: Coupons (no longer printng)
$1.50 on any Huggies diapers SS
$2/1 Huggies Diapers (printable)

used:

(1) $2/1 Huggies Diapers (printable)
(1) $0.75/1 Crest Toothpaste (5/2P&G)
(1) $4 ECB from previous trans.
(1) $4.99 ECB from previous trans.

Total OOP (including tax): $1.09
Received: $2 ECB (Huggies), $3.50 ECB (Crest Toothpaste), $5/$25 Coupon

Total OOP: $2.48 for both transactions…not too bad getting my feet wet again. You all would have laughed at me taking so much time just putting those two transactions together. Wondering which ones to go where to make the cost of the diapers less because I was determined to have a pack in there somehow.

…I think you all may start seeing some CVS pictures each week…well at least on the weeks when there are good deals to be harvested.

Have any of you being CVSings?

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
