Kay’s Reapings: Publix…I think I may be backkkkk (5/27)

Posted on: 05/28/2010

My BFF (waving at Yadira) just revealed to me that I am up way too late, but I had a good reason…

I went to Publix! 😉

I’ve been brainstorming on a HUGE transaction that I would like to carry out this weekend. and realized that I haven’t been in Publix, aside from two or three times when I ran in to get a few things, since March! GASPS! What in the world happened to feeling as though up to four (4) days without shopping was a LONG time?!

Needless to say, in efforts to get my self motivated, I needed to go out and test the waters, so to speak…

There are several things that we are completely OUT of…guess that is what happens when you don’t shop as often…Now it’s nothing big ticket price, like the tissues, paper towels, diapers, etc…but the little things that makes the children and I happy, like:

Luigi Italian Ice!

There are a lot of other things that makes them happy, but oh my goodness I cannot wait to see their faces in the morning when they see the last two items 😉

So here’s my harvest:

Combined Total OOP (includes tax): $1.43

Each transaction I was negative so I added the sodas.

…and my seeds:

-Seeded in the store four (4) $2/1 Stayfree Products & four (4) $2/1 Schick Disposable Razors AND discussed a potential Huggies Diaper deal to work with the above coupons

-Seeded after the trip the Stayfree Products

…hmmm, I think I might go BACK tomorrow as I have some great coupons that are about to expire and I would love to work up a transaction to get those items to add to the stockpile and seed into the life of another two (2) to three (3) persons! Workshop requests are being to come in so I may start putting some aside for the hostess baskets as well…nice way to plan ahead.

Have any of you made it out to Publix yet this week? Feel free to share your reapings…

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!
