Posted on: 06/26/2010

I can really understand why so many people enjoying couponing at the Drug Stores after today. Sad part is, I’ve taught individuals how to do this but wasn’t capitalizing on it myself. After these two trips I think you’ll be hearing a bit more from me in regards to Walgreens and Rite-Aid….CVS is already on my list.

My goal for this trip was to reap a pack of tissue, a box of trash bags, and the Arm & Hammer Spinbrushes. I used the Finish Quantumatic, Veet Hair Removal & Clearasil products as fillers items to assist with getting my totals closer to $20 to use the $5/$20 Rite-Aid Video Q, thus making my bigger items FREE or close to FREE. Upon arrival things turned out even better as the value of the second Arm & Hammer Toothbrush was counted towards the total before it was deducted. I took advantage of this by creating a fourth transaction and reaping an additional box of trash bags.

Combined Total OOP for Trans 1-4: $11.66

just went to rite aid in goose creek acroos from walmart. they would not take rit aid coupon (video) with a manufacturer coupon. both manager and asst said you cant. even showed them in their flyer how use can use that rite aid manufacturer with a manufacturer. they said only certain coupons you can use both.gave me some excuse about loss prevention said no i told them their coupon policy says yes but they would not listen to me. so i went to other rite aid in goose creek near publix she said you can use both and even called the other store to tell them you can but they would not listen to her. she told me they are in their own little world down there and do what they want. i will not shop at the one acroos from walmart ever again

Greetings Lee!

According to the Rite-Aid in Summerville, off of Trolley Rd., you can actually use up to three (3) coupons per item: Manufacturer, Rite Aid Video Perk, and if there’s a coupon within their sales ad, you can also add that…mind you, this was the same store that told me when I first started couponing that you could only use one (1) internet printable coupon per transaction AND their $X/$XX coupons counted as one (1)!

Last night was the FIRST time I went back to coupon, but this time around it was different…I was informed and knew the policy…actually had a printed copy of it on me in the event that I needed to produce it. Prior to shopping I did, however, consulted with the head cashier to verify the details and let her know that I was aware of the coupons that could be used. This is when she also informed me of being able to use up to three (3) coupons per item.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!
