Kay’s Reapings: Walgreens Trip 6/25

Posted on: 06/26/2010

I decided to take the girls and baby out with me today to see what we could reap at WAGS & Rite-Aid.

I began with a $10RR from the Neutrogena deal on last week. Here’s how we were blessed to “cycle” it back around:

Transaction 1:

(1) Aussie Conditioner, $2.99ea. ($2 RR)
-use (1) $2/1 Aussie Styling Product & Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner – 05-16-10 RP (exp. 6/30)
makes it $0.99ea.
*RR from the Aussie products ARE rolling, thus, you CAN use the RRs earned from them to produce another RR in a separate transaction.

(2) Gillette Body Wash, $4.49ea ($4.49 RR)
-use (1) B1G1 Gillette Body Wash, any excluding trial size – 06-06-10 PG (exp. 7/31)
makes it $4.49 for two (2)

(1) ReNu Sensitive, $7.49ea. ($7.49 RR)
-use (1) $2/1 Renu Sensitive multi-purpose solution 12 oz. size only – 06-06-10 SS (exp. 9/6) or (PRINT)
makes it $5.49ea.
**Be sure to select the ReNu Sensitive as these are the ones producing the RRs

-used (1) $10 RR

Subtotal: $0.97
Tax: $1.36
Total OOP: $2.33
Received: $7.49RR, $4.50RR, $2RR

Transaction 2:

(1) RepHresh Brilliant pH, Regular, 18ct., $5.99ea. ($5 RR)
-use (1) $1/1 RepHresh Brilliant Tampons (PRINT)
makes them $4.99

(1) Aussie Shampoo, 13.5oz., $2.99 ($2 RR)
-use (1) $2/1 Aussie Styling Product & Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner – 05-16-10 RP (exp. 6/30)
makes it $0.99ea.
*RR from the Aussie products ARE rolling, thus, you CAN use the RRs earned from them to produce another RR in a separate transaction.

(3) Tank Tops, $1ea. (on sale for 75% off) -fillers
*With the prices on the shirts, these should have been less but still a GREAT deal

-use $2 RR from previous transaction
-use $7.50 RR from previous transaction

Subtotal: $0.48
Tax: $0.84
Total OOP: $1.32
Received: $2RR, $5RR
*I noticed that the $1/1 RepHresh Coupon was not deducted…still a pretty good deal. Was too busy playing with the baby to notice on THIS transaction

Transaction 3:

(2) Tank Tops, $1ea., on sale 75% off -fillers

(1) Workout Pants, $1ea.on sale 75% off

-used (1) $2RR from previous transaction
-used (1) $5RR from previous transaction
-used (1) $4.50RR from 1st transaction *this cancelled out my $4.50RR from the Gillette for this transaction but I wanted the t-shirts & pants for FREE so I was fine with it

Subtotal: $1.47
Tax: $1.50
Total OOP: $2.97
Received: $4.49RR, $7.49RR, $2RR

Transaction 4:

(1) Aussie Conditioner, $2.99ea. ($2 RR)
-use (1) $2/1 Aussie Styling Product & Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner – 05-16-10 RP (exp. 6/30)
makes it $0.99ea.
*RR from the Aussie products ARE rolling, thus, you CAN use the RRs earned from them to produce another RR in a separate transaction.

(1) RepHresh Brilliant pH, Regular, 18ct., $5.99ea. ($5 RR)
-use (1) $1/1 RepHresh Brilliant Tampons (PRINT)
makes them $4.99

(2) Tank Tops, $1ea. -filler
(1) Pajama Pants, $1ea. -filler

(2) Cracker Jacks, $0.50ea. -filler (total was negative so added these two boxes for the girls)

-use $7.50RR from previous transaction
-use $2RR from previous transaction

Total: $11.87

Less the $11.50 in coupons & RRs my total OOP should have been $0.37, however, the $1/1 RepHresh Q was AGAIN not entered and this time I knew because I saw what my total OOP was when I was handing over the appropriate coupons & RRs. I resumed playing with the baby, but when the cashier informed me that I owed $1.37, I kindly asked him if the last coupon had not gone through. He attempted to remove one of the $1 filler items to “even” things out, but that wouldn’t go threw. Sooooo, he adjusted the price to reflect a $1 MFQ being used and my balance went negative somehow. Afterwards it made sense to me that he had actually taken off $2 instead of $1 to make up for the other $1/1 RepHresh coupon he received from me in a previous transaction and failed to enter it. When the $2 was deducted, my balance was -$0.71. I added the two boxes of Cracker Jacks above…they were right next to the cash register and I DID NOT want to go running through the store for something else….although another t-shirt would have been a better buy.

In the end…

Total OOP: $0.29 (Transaction #4)
Total OOP, includ. tax: $6.91 (Transactions #1-4)
Received: $5RR, $2RR

Like getting EVERYTHING for FREE and making $0.09 🙂

I was COMPLETELY excited with the end results. When Hubby returned he had a new pack of guard shirts that I just HAD to open because I love wearing them. 🙂 I told him the day before that I would just purchase some for myself to avoid having to grab his…who knew that God would have placed this ram in the bush. There were a LOT of these undershirts, including the ones for Yoga workouts that I believe will get a lot of usage, left on the shelves. May have to go back tomorrow to work up some more transactions! 😉

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
