Prior to this week, whenever I would place an item that produced an +UP I would only receive said +UP on the first item ONLY. When I went today, imagine my surprise, and the cashier’s, when this LONG receipt printed and gave multiple +UPs for the items I purchased, i.e., purchased two bottles of Nivea, receive a $1UP for EACH one.

Here’s what my one of my transactions looked like:

(4) Snapple Tea, 4/$4 (Receive $1 UP for 4)
-used (2) BOGO Snapple (PRINT) (exp. 7/30) -no longer available

(2) Stride Gum, BOGO, $1.29
-used (1) BOGO Stride Gum (Tearpad)
makes them FREE…another Filler

(4) Nivea for Men Bodywash, $1.99 ($1UP)
-used (1) $4/2 Nivea Body Products (PRINT)
-used (1) $3/2 Nivea Body Wash (PRINT)

(1) Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste, $3 ($3UP)
-used (1) $1/1 Colgate Sensitive (PRINT)

(1) Quilted Northern Tissue, $6.99 ($1 UP)

(1) Pentech Eraser Caps, 15ct, $0.74
*purchased as another filler to avoid having the subtotal go negative

(4) Rolaids Soft Chews, 12ct., $1 w/Rewards Card
-used (2) $4/2 Pepcid, Rolaids, Mylanta, Dramamine, Lactaid, Imodium, Or Tucks, Any (Excludes Trial Size) – 06-06-10 RP (exp. 9/30)
***I was only adding these to my transaction as a filler and expecte the coupon to deduct $2 instead of the full $4 being that the coupon states “up to $4” however when scanned it deducted the FULL $4 thus creating a moneymaker!

-used (1) $5/$25 Rite-Aid Purchase
-used $2 UP (Motrin), $1 UP (Viva)

Subtotal: $0.69
Tax: $1.29
Total OOP: $1.98
Received: $1 UP (Brawny), $1 UP (Snapple), $1 UP (Nivea) X 4, $3 UP (Colgate) for a total of $9 UP ($7.02MM).

Of course I repeated the transaction, adding (4) more bags of Rolaids and (3) bars of candy to it, but in the end received the SAME UPs again….used ($1 UP from previous transaction) on the second transaction and left out the store with $17 UP left ALL earned from tonight (7/26).

My plans? To work up a couple of more transactions this week and use the UPs to purchase the children’s backpacks as they are 50% off this week (pretty much a BOGO deal) and I can use another $5/$25 to stretch my savings even further!

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!
