Kay’s Reapings: Publix (8/31)

Posted on: 09/01/2010

Publix was great this past week, unfortunately, I only made it to the stores on the last day of the sales and had to stick with a couple of items I anticipated stocking up on. My daughter asked my hubby, recently, why he wasn’t taking lunch to work, in addition to the beverages he packs in his bag. He responded that he didn’t have time to gather the items. With so many of us, there are rarely leftovers, and he, more than likely, would not have taken them. Therefore, I gathered some coupons, went to two stores to avoid depleting the shelves.

Here’s what we reaped:

(40) Hormel Compleats, BOGO, $2.49
-used $0.55/1 Hormel Compleats Microwave Meal, any variety – 08-01-10 SS
-used $0.50/1 Hormel Compleats (Rite-Aid Vid. Q)
made them $0.39 for two (2)

(2) Pepsi Max, 20oz., $1 (reg. price $1.39ea.)
-used BOGO Pepsi Max, 20oz. or 2L (PRINT)
-used BOGO Pepsi, 20oz., any (Rite-Aid Vid. Q)
made both bottles FREE
*-thanks for the heads up Heather

(2) Nabisco Chips Ahoy!, 2/$1 (located by registers at Dorchester Rd. store)
-used $1/2 Nabisco Cookies (Rite-Aid Vid. Q)
made both packs FREE

(19) NyQuil, Trial Size, $1.29
-used $1.50/1 NyQuil, 8/29P&G
made them FREE plus $3.99 overage

(2) Carnation Instant Breakfast, $4.99
-used $3/2 Carnation Instant Breakfast (PRINT)
made them $6.98 for two

(1) Tide Stain Release, 18ct. bag, $6.99
-used $3/1 Tide Stain Release, 8/29P&G
-used $1/1 Tide Stain Release, Publix Put Clean In Your Cart Booklet (located at Customer Service Desk)
made it $2.99

(2) $5/$25 Rite-Aid (PRINT)

Combined Order Totals: $3.28
Combined Sales Tax: $1.78
Combined Food Tax: $0.36
Combined Total OOP: $5.42
Combined Publix Savings: $141.38

I wanted to post this last night, along with my Rite-Aid transactions, however, my body had other plans…SLEEP!

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
