Publix Reapings: With the Change in My Pocket Experience (10/30)

Posted on: 11/02/2010

I’m really beginning to believe that God is testing my level of faith in Him. More than enough times, I’ve left out of this house, over the past few weeks, only to realize that I’ve failed to bring along cash. I often times, drop change in my pockets from off of my dresser and keep what I get after bringing a dollar in my change holder within my purse. After my youngest daughter asked me one day if I was taking my change with me, I’ve always tried to have some with me, just in case….so glad I was obedient on this day…

I tried calling Hubby from the store but got his voicemail. We were on a tight schedule so I couldn’t afford to go back to the house.

Here’s what we reaped:

(12) Clorox Bleach, $1.67ea (3/$5)
-used (6) $2/2 Clorox Products, Publix Flu Booklets (MFQ)
-used (12) $0.50/1 Clorox Products, Rite-Aid Video Q

made them FREE plus $4.04 overage wyb (4)

(2) Mahatma Valencia Rice, $0.99
-used (2) $0.50/1 Mahatma Rice, 8/22 RP
made them FREE plus $0.02 overage wyb (2)

(2) Onion Powder, $1.34ea (3/$4)
-no coupons

(2) Organic Apples, $5.49ea.
-used FREE Organic Apples w/ $5 purchase (Earthfare)

Combined Order Total: $2.69
Combined Sales Tax: $2.38
Combined Food Tax:$0.02
Combined Total OOP: $5.09
Combined Savings at Publix: $74.42

….how did I pay for it?

I reached in my pockets and pulled out this:

…used the paperclips to hold the coupons together, and prayer with a little bit of change to cover the bill! God is GOOD!

BTW, Hubby finally TEXTED me while I was in the checkout line to see if I was “OK”….thanks Babe.

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!
