Reaping Your Harvest

There were reports of $1/1 Xtra Detergent coupons at Dollar General stores, good on any size AND without the Dollar General logo on them. I ended up going to Dollar General just now and someone took ALL of the coupons out of the machine and laid them on top of the dispenser. Not sure how many were laying on the top but it was a LOT…

CVS has the Xtra Detergent, 45fl. oz., bottles on sale this week, ending in 15min. :(, 2/$3 ($1.50ea.)…after coupons they would be $0.50ea. You all know that I LOVE seeding into the lives of others, so when one of my friends contacted me this week about donating to My Sister’s House I was eagered to help. I took advantage of the awesome sales this week at Rite-Aid & CVS with the BOGO Stayfree Feminine care products, and tonight with the detergent, of which I was I could have gotten more of.

Here’s what I reaped at CVS with the Qs:

(1) Bounty Paper Towel, $6.99 ($1 ECB)
-used (1) $2/1 Bounty Paper Towels, CRT Q
made it $4.99

(4) Stayfree Maxi Pads, BOGO, $3.79
-used (2) BOGO Stayfree
made them FREE

(8) XTRA Detergent, 2/$3
-used (8) $1/1 XTRA
made it $4 for (8)

Total: $28.56
-used $5ECB, $3ECB

Total OOP: $2.98
Received: $1 ECB (Bounty) *new sale starts @ 6pm

Huge thanks Deals4Real, from WeUseCoupons.com, for the $1/1 Q alert!

***Military Couponers the Commissary has the same size bottles of Xtra for less than $2ea., so if you missed out on the opportunity to reap them at CVS and either desire these for your personal stockpile or to donate you will still be able to get them at a great price.

Soooooooooooooooooo…all well laid out plans don’t often go as I well as I would like…including the transactions that I posted last night to tackle on today…all in all, I’m pleased with everything I got and have begun the seeding process!

I’ll be back later with the matchups…we’re tooooooo busy feeding our faces with more of the homemade Southwestern Rolls & our homemade Honey BBQ wings, fried okras, and French Fries….lotta fried food but goodness it all tastes so good right about now! 😉

My, my, my…

The children and I went to CVS and noticed that they had Mega Packs of Huggies Little Movers on clearance for 50% OFF…$17.99 marked down to $8.99! Well the store only had one (1) pack left on the shelf and I had already worked up a transaction in my head to where I would reap three (3) packs, use one (1) $5/$25 CVS transaction, and all of my current stash of $13ECBs. Due to the fact that I had already calculated this to come out to just paying the tax, I couldn’t bring myself to only buying the one pack. So off to another CVS…

…arrived there expecting to see the shelf empty or simply to see at least the amount that I needed for this transactions…boy was I shocked to see the shelf half full AND marked down to 75%, as opposed to 50%…$17.99 down to $4.49!

Out to the truck I ran to grab a couple more $3/1 Huggies coupons…HUGE THANKS MARGARET!!!! 🙂

Went back in and still needed to purchase $1.00+ to make it to $25…mind you I had five (5) packs of diapers and two packs of candy already on the transaction. I went to grab a container of wipes and here’s what I saw:

So, in the end, here’s our harvest:

And here’s our total OOP:

I used:

(5) $3/1 Huggies Little Movers
(1) $5/$25 CVS Transaction
(1) $5ECB

…still have $8ECBs left, of which I think I’ll be using to locate more diapers for me, my sister, and brother’s baby.

Get out there and check your local stores!!!!

I cannot believe I went to CVS for the first time in MONTHS to “coupon”. Early last month, I had to fill a prescription for my baby girl and received a $4 ECB on the bottom of my receipt. This ECB has been sitting in my cabinet since 4/10! sighsssssss….

Today, I decided to brush off the CVS dust and put together a little transaction to roll this ECB before it expired on the 24th of this month. I pulled up the ad on here and tried to come up with something that would produce the less OOP but reap me something that we would actually use.

So here’s the harvest:

Transaction 1:

(2) $2 ECB wyb Right guard sport, total Defense or dry idea 2-4oz $2.49 limit 2
$1.50 Right Guard Total Defense IP (no longer printing) at Coupons

Total OOP (including tax): $1.09
Received: $2 ECB (Huggies), $3.50 ECB (Crest Toothpaste), $5/$25 Coupon

Total OOP: $2.48 for both transactions…not too bad getting my feet wet again. You all would have laughed at me taking so much time just putting those two transactions together. Wondering which ones to go where to make the cost of the diapers less because I was determined to have a pack in there somehow.

…I think you all may start seeing some CVS pictures each week…well at least on the weeks when there are good deals to be harvested.

Have any of you being CVSings?

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
