Reaping Your Harvest

Have any of you added some of the Sominex to your deals, yet?

I was rather surprised when I reviewed my receipt to find that instead of ringing up at $3.19ea., they came out at 2/$3.19.

The original potential overage posted of $2.62 has increased to a whooping $5.81 for each two!

(2) Sominex, 2/$3.19
-use (1) $5/2 Os-Cal, Citrucel, Ecotrin, Feosol, Geritol, Tagamet, Debrox, Vivarin, Gaviscon, Phazyme, Sominex, Gly-Oxide or Contac, Publix Green Advantage Q
-use (2) $2/1 Sominex (PRINT) or 10/10 RP
makes them FREE plus $5.81 overage, if allowed

Let me know if you find the same deal at your store…that’s already enough, along with the Rite-Aid coupon, or any other $X/$XX coupon to reap some nice deals, i.e., tissue, paper towel, sugar, milk, meats, product, diapers!

…in the end, whether you have only the Publix coupon, or only the MFQs, either or, they are still moneymakers!

So I walked out of the house on yesterday with NO money in my pockets…I couldn’t even find a penny in my purse! In the hurry of our morning routines, I failed to grab, my usual, stash of change off of the dresser in the event a “scenario” is rest upon my rapidly, moving thoughts.

Ok, anyways…here’s what happened.

As I was sitting in my son’s school parking lot I began digging through my wallet and came across three (3) giftcards. One for Wal-Mart in the amount of $5 (used a part of that for lunch…stomach was happy), another had $1.03 and the finally one housed $2.80. In my beginning stages of learning this lovely art of couponing, I would have simply placed those cards back in my purse and cry defeat. But GOD!

My mind started focusing on the coupons I had within my purse and the cases in my trunk. I wanted to grab a few things for the school and our home, as I was completely out of my Lawry’s Seasoning Salt…a HUGE no, no!

For those of you that are military families, you’ll be happy to see that we’ve also included commissary coupons, when available. Unfortunately, our local Publix stores are beginning to view military coupons as manufacturer coupons because they scan as such. Still great to see what’s available. And now you can stack a military coupon with a competitor coupon, so all is not lost.

Just getting started? Check out the Getting Started Guide

Our sales week are from Wednesday-Tuesday

Here are the Rules:

* You DO NOT have to buy two items to receive the B1G1 price
* Publix (Oakbrook/Dorchester Rd) is no longer stacking their store coupon along with a manufacturer, and a competitor coupon. You will only be allowed to use a maximum of TWO coupons on ONE item, as long one is a manufacturer.

*Per Store Manager (Oakbrook) the penny item is ONE per customer NOT one per transaction. Therefore, if you are doing more than one transaction in a single trip, on Sundays & Mondays, please only grab the penny item once.

(Coupons listed in GREEN are referring to coupons in which military families have access to and CAN use.)

For a few extra savings, here are some current $X/$XX coupons:
$5/$25 Rite Aid (exp. 10/31)

If there are things that you would like to stock up get to ordering your coupons now.

I’ve finally been able to get a compilation of local businesses offering military discounts. I know that there are a few more, like Goodwill, Walgreens, and the Hickory Hawg, which I will add shortly.

I’ve placed them HERE

-huge thanks and appreciation to my Hubby for passing this on to me and the awesome individuals who spent their time and efforts putting this together!

::Rite-Aid Coupon Policy::

***Limited to one (1) like Video Value coupon per transaction

For the past couple of weeks the deals have been really great and I believe this week follows suit. I received a request for a potential diaper deal scenario at Rite-Aid, so I went on the hunt to compile a scenario with little effort on your parts. To all of my diapering Mommas out there, let’s get started on, or add to, our diaper deals for this week.

I love roaming the blogosphere and forums to see if anyone else has reaped goodies worth passing along. For this week’s scenario, I was inspired by fellow WUCkie member, PacificTrioMom. To view more scenario ideas, stroll on over to the Rite Aid Deals on WeUseCoupons.

I shifted the deals a little, but not much, to fit the needs of my family, as well as to fall in line with the coupons I have available.

For this first transaction, you won’t need to use any previous UP+ rewards, however, if you have some, it will definitely reduce your OOP.

Here are our reapings:

(1) Huggies Pure & Natural Diapers, $7.99
-used (1) $3/1 Huggies Pure & Natural (PRINT)
-used (1) $2/1 Huggies, Pullups, or Goodnites (Rite-Aid Video Value)

-used (1) B1G1 FREE Edge Shave Gel (PRINT) ***excludes 2.75oz. cans
-used (1) $1.50/2 Edge (Rite-Aid Video Value)

(2) Oral B Vivid 3D Toothbrush, 2.69
-used (1) $1/1 Oral B Toothbrush, P&G Booklet
-used (1) B1G1 FREE Oral B Toothbrush

***Sharease your scenario will include (4) Crest Toothpaste using the $1/1 Crest Toothpaste, 9/26 P&G, as opposed to (2) Crest Toothpaste & (2) Oral B Toothbrushes

***Everyone will not have the coupons for the toothbrushes so add two (2) more Crest Outlash Toothpaste to the scenario, if you have the coupons. You can also add a $1/1 Crest Toothpaste coupon from the Rite-Aid Clip+ Flu Booklet if you have it to further reduce your OOP.

(3) TreSemme Hair Spray, $0.99ea

Subtotal: $1.50
Tax: $1.50

Total OOP: $4.17 plus tax (Now here is where you could also use any other UP+ Rewards from previous weeks to reduce your OOP.)

Kay n Hubby FL
Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!
