Have any of you added some of the Sominex to your deals, yet?

I was rather surprised when I reviewed my receipt to find that instead of ringing up at $3.19ea., they came out at 2/$3.19.

The original potential overage posted of $2.62 has increased to a whooping $5.81 for each two!

Let me know if you find the same deal at your store…that’s already enough, along with the Rite-Aid coupon, or any other $X/$XX coupon to reap some nice deals, i.e., tissue, paper towel, sugar, milk, meats, product, diapers!

…in the end, whether you have only the Publix coupon, or only the MFQs, either or, they are still moneymakers!

So I walked out of the house on yesterday with NO money in my pockets…I couldn’t even find a penny in my purse! In the hurry of our morning routines, I failed to grab, my usual, stash of change off of the dresser in the event a “scenario” is rest upon my rapidly, moving thoughts.

Ok, anyways…here’s what happened.

As I was sitting in my son’s school parking lot I began digging through my wallet and came across three (3) giftcards. One for Wal-Mart in the amount of $5 (used a part of that for lunch…stomach was happy), another had $1.03 and the finally one housed $2.80. In my beginning stages of learning this lovely art of couponing, I would have simply placed those cards back in my purse and cry defeat. But GOD!

My mind started focusing on the coupons I had within my purse and the cases in my trunk. I wanted to grab a few things for the school and our home, as I was completely out of my Lawry’s Seasoning Salt…a HUGE no, no!

For those of you that are military families, you’ll be happy to see that we’ve also included commissary coupons, when available. Unfortunately, our local Publix stores are beginning to view military coupons as manufacturer coupons because they scan as such. Still great to see what’s available. And now you can stack a military coupon with a competitor coupon, so all is not lost.

I know I generally lay everything out on the table for a better view of the items, but with me being out ALL day…well until after 5 p.m., most days, I’ve had to resort to taking pictures of the items from the back of the ride.

This pic., I didn’t even have time to remove the items from the bag as I immediately left from the store to sow.

Here were the reapings…

(20) Ronzoni Spaghetti, BOGO, $1.39
-used (10) $0.50/2 Ronzoni Pasta, Tearpad
made them $0.39 for two (2)

(10) Snapple, 4/$3
-used (10) $0.50/1 Snapple Tea or Juice Drink, Tearpad
made them FREE plus $0.25 overage each ($2.50 total)

(2) Sundown Vitamins, $2.99ea.
-used (2) $1/1 Sundown Vitamins, on bottles
-used (1) $6/2 Sundown Vitamins, Publix Green Advantage
made them FREE plus $2 overage

(4) Luigi Italian Ice, BOGO, $2.99
left coupons at home

So where did the items go? Aside from the vitamins and five bottles of Snapple, the rest of the items were donated to Charleston Autism Academy, where our oldest attends…LOVE them!

The Academy is beginning preparation for their upcoming Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser come Jan./Feb. 2011. The President shared with me the items in which they would be standing in need of and God starting working the brain cells. Upon sitting back in the car, I looked over and saw that I had some of my coupons with me along with the Publix sales ad. Ronzoni was BOGO and I really wanted to get the children some treats…nothing better than Luigi Italian Ices…yummmmmm!

***I adjusted the scenario because I realized, on today, that the Peter Pan sizes did not match. I replaced them with two items that would increase your transaction total but reduce your OOP after coupons. Additionally, the price of the Vigo Rice has been adjusted to reflect the cost of the 5oz. bag needed for this transaction.

Welcome to a new sales week! We’re going to work on Bathroom Tissue & Paper Towels for those interested in starting or replenishing their stockpile. If you have enough coupons, you can always repeat these transactions. Remember, these are to be used as a guide and can be altered to fit the needs of your families.

Helpful Tips:

*All scenarios are based upon coupons doubling, when applicable.
*You are allowed to use (1) MFQ WITH (1) Store or Competitor coupon per item.
*Target coupons & FLIPs are limited to one (1) per transaction.

The idea behind these scenarios is to always get you the item of focus for the least money OOP.

Reaping In Abundance,

Kay n Hubby FL
Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
