We are excited about this ministry in which God has planted within our hearts to share with each of you. But as you all know, He, often times, works through one person to help someone else.

Throughout the course of our journey we aim to teach you the art of couponing so that you can increase your maximum spending power…you will be spending less BUT getting more! There is a LOT of information to share. We are trying our best to share it all with you as quickly as possible. We ask that you please bear with us as we add to this blog daily. Eventually you will be able to view weekly specials and coupon match up scenarios for a couple of our local stores.

In the meantime, feel free to contact us in regards to your questions, your desires to attend OR host a workshop, or ideas in which you would like to see implemented on the blog to make this venture a bit easier for you.

Again, welcome and we pray for your continued increase in knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and prosperity in every area of your lives!

Kay

Hello!

My name is Holly Aldrich and I attend Cross Over Full Gospel Church in beautiful Moncks Corner! Currently we are bussing in up to 100 children a week from our community and feeding them after their lessons. The cost of food is really depleting our youth account and I need to learn how to be more economical so that those fund can be used for other things. Do you have any public workshops coming up in my area? Thank you so much.

Blessings! ~>Holly

Greetings Holly!

Thank you for visiting the blog. First, and foremost, congratulations on such an awesome outreach ministry. I clearly understand the need to conserve in such a given situation. There are a couple of options in which I would love to discuss with you, in regards to workshops in your area (***I just sent you a personal e-mail***).

Thanks again for the visit. We look forward to helping you and your ministry seed into the lives of the youth while spending less to get more!

Are you able to use expired coupons? If so, what is an address where I can send some?

Greetings Sheikla,
First of all, thank you for your desire to bless our military families.

We are unable to use expired coupons while stationed at a non-overseas duty station. However, our fellow servicemembers are still able to use them up to six months after the expiration date. Please contact us at seed to feed @ gmail dot com (don’t include the spaces) for further instructions.

Wanted to ask if anyone has the -.50 coupon for Clorox Wipes (35 count) from 10-4-09 RP? I am looking for 5.
Thanks,
Maleca

I have a friend who is a military wife in VA. She is spending waayyy too much in groceries and i offered to help her out. Can you give me more information on commissaries? She normally shops there. (langley)

Otherwise, she has a food lion close to her which from the looks of it may be cheaper for her to shop at if she utilizes coupons. I went to commissaries. com and it says that they dont pair manu with commissary coupons..

Any information you can give me or point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.

Love you blog also!!
In His Name-
Bernadette Hamm

Greetings Bernadette,

I must inform you that, unless she is willing to make a few adjustments for a short span of time, things may continue to be rather difficult in the savings area. With the commissary, as you stated, they do not allow stacking (the usage of a military coupon with a manufacturer coupon), however, they do allow overage, which can definitely play a significant factor in anyone’s grocery bill.

Here is the deal. Say, your friend went to the commissary and purchased a pack of reach dental floss. They are currently priced at $0.75ea….if she uses the $1/1 ($1 off 1) manufacturer coupon located in select Sunday inserts, she would obtain the floss for FREE and the remaining $0.25 would apply to the rest of her bill. This may seem insignificant, but with several items such as this, she will begin to see a decline in her out of pocket expenses. Even if there is an item in which she can get for FREE plus overage that she does not normally use, tell her to get it for the value of the overage…she can either donate the product(s) or try them out. So even with the commissary not stacking coupons, there are still some GREAT opportunities for saving there.

I use to spend well over $700 a month at the commissary and then an additional $300-$400 at other grocery stores and Wal-Mart EVERY month for a family of 8, plus two. So, at least $1000 a month on grocery and household items…now, thanks to God’s guidance and directions, I spend less than $200…this month it was less than $150 (*note that these funds are only spent at the Commissary on our meats, and maybe some extra goodies for the children for an ENTIRE MONTH).

It will take some time, effort, and dedication, if you and your friend want to see the changes in which her family can definitely benefit from. She needs to find out the coupon policy for Food Lion. I know the one here allows stacking, however they do not double coupons (meaning the value of any coupons received by them, whether it’s their store coupon or a manufacturer coupon is taken at its stated value on the coupon). Additionally, they do not accept competitor coupons. There are some great websites out there that covers Food Lion, as far as the coupon matchups. If you’re interested in viewing multiple stores, check out http://www.hotcouponworld.com.

We are firm believers in teaching others how to spend less while getting more…reaping a harvest that has no end, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and we’ll do our best to answer.

Glenda

Greetings Glenda!

No, you’re not crazy! I am still trying to figure out how to add the html code box on the side, and I am beginning to believe that I am unable to do so with this blog format. Contact me at seedtofeed@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to email it to you.

Also, please let feel free to leave the addy for your blog!

Welcome to the Military Family! I am going to try to start posting the bi-monthly Commissary specials in addition to my great finds…not sure when that will be, but prayfully soon.

I’m here for you for support as I’m well aware of the emotions and changes that are associated with deployments and TDYs.

Dear Kay,
I attended your workshop yesterday in Beaufort…the single girl with all the questions. So, here’s another one….I took your advice and went to a couple corporate/manufacturer websites to look for coupons and freebies. They ask you to “sign-up,” meaning give ALL your contact information. After reading their privacy policies I realized they’d be collecting information about me constantly, using cookies and other methods. What has been your experience with these manufacturer sites? Do you think it’s wise to sign up?

practicing looking well to the ways of my household,
Tif

Greetings Tif!

It is always a great idea to be cautious when signing up for anything online. In regards to manufacturer’s websites, I have not had any problems after signing up for either FREE newsletter memberships, coupons, or sample offers.

If it is something that you’re still not comfortable with, you can also call the different companies. I just find it easier for me to go to their websites and leave a few written lines as opposed to calling. But again, you must do what is most comfortable for you.

IS THERE A SNEAK PEEK THIS WEEK FOR PUBLIX?

Hi there,

I found your blog because a cashier at Publix told me to come here. That was Wednesday, April 14th at the Trolley Road Publix. She told me to come print the Sav A Lot coupon from here. I noticed on the side you have it’s no longer accepted there. Is this something they just recently changed, or did the cashier tell me wrong?

Thanks!

Greetings Mel!

Trolley Rd. has begun to accept Sav-a-Lot coupons again. I will update the widget. Thanks for visiting and prayfully you’ll find some other helpful resources along the way.

I would like to sugest that you look into low dose allergen therapy for your autistic child. You can go to http://www.drschrader.com. This treatment has been the primary allergy/autoimmune treatment in Europe for about 40 years. I have been on the treatment for 10 years and it took me from almost unable to leave my house and allergic to all but 14 foods to living a near normal life now. In Europe this is the treatment for autistic children with excellent results for 55% of patients and improvments for most others. There is a doc in Raleigh NC who does this treatment and he is the doc I use even though I am 5 hours away. I try to spread the word about this whever I can because it is so little known and could help so many. I am available to answer questions about my experience with it but I have no first hand experience with it and autism. I did share this info with a family with a severely autistic child who planned to try it but never heard back form them with the results.

Thanks Lana!

I will definitely take a look into this.

Hi, I have been on other sites awhile now and just recently found your site! Nice to find a sight so close to home and by the way your site is awesome! I live in Summerville and am interested in trading coupons. I have so many I won’t use. Do you know of a trading group in the area?

Greetings Maria!

I could definitely look into this for you, or we could start a Reaping Your Harvest Trading Group in which we could meet twice a month or so, for those interested. I’ll be in touch if I do locate some in the area…

Reaping In Abundance,
Kay

Thanks so much! I would definately be interested in starting a trading group if there is none already. It would be great to trade coupons and meet other couponers in the area!

Kay, I am so happy you found the strength with the help of the Lord to continue with the sight! I absolutely love your sight and would be very sad to see it go. Thanks for all you do!

Hello and welcome! I am a military spouse & mom of four boys and two girls, ages 1 to 10, oldest diagnosed with autism. We're located in the Charleston, SC area. My family and my faith are very important to me. Since I've started using coupons I have been able to save more money and become a better steward of my household. I hope to seed into the general public, and our military families, how to spend less and get more.

Get ready to take your grocery & household spending to a whole new level! Couponing is not only a means to seed but an avenue to harvest...both opportunities are endless & a joy to delight in.

I welcome feedback and comments! Thank you again!

Kay
