Reaping Your Harvest

We’re at the end of another week and with that comes plans and prep for the new week. Remember to obtain rainchecks for those items that were out of stock, for seemingly the entire week, i.e.,

Nivea for Men Body Wash, 16.9oz., $1.99
-use -$4/2 (PRINT) or $3/2 (PRINT)
With each Q you would reap two (2) bottles so get a raincheck for 8. This is getting the item at the lowest possible price and creating a stockpile, two of the principles of super-couponing. Use them in gift baskets or put them away to avoid paying full price when your love one runs out.

Rolaids Soft Chews (12ct.)., $1ea. w/reward card
-use -$4/2 Pepcid, Rolaids, Mylanta, Dramamine, Lactaid, Imodium, Or Tucks, Any (Excludes Trial Size) – 06-06-10 RP
makes them FREE plus overage
In this case you can use the overage to cover another item you’re wanting to stockpile, for instance, trash bags, bottled water, etc.

Tums, 3 roll pk., $1ea. w/rewards card
-use -$1/1 Tums, 24 ct. or larger – 06-27-10 RP

**If you were to purchase the (8) Nivea for Men Body Wash and just (2) of Rolaids and Tums in a single transaction everything would be FREE plus a $1 left to go towards your tax! Also, if you still have the $5/$20 coupon, I would even add a box of trash bags or tissue or paper towel and reap everything for FREE!

Here’s a look at my last day deal I plan to work on before the sales end:

(1) Ace Cold Compress, $1.29ea. (located in trial section)
-use $4/1 in-ad coupon
makes them FREE plus $2.71 overage
*You must purchase other items to absorb this amount in order to use this Q

(2) Nivea Lotion, 13.5., $5.99ea. ($1UP)
-use Nivea Happy Sensation Body Lotion, Any 13.5 Fl. Oz. – 07-25-10 RP

(1) Hershey Bliss, 9.6oz bag, $2.99ea. w/rewards card
-use $1/1 Hershey Bliss, Rite-Aid Video Q

(1) Yoohoo, $0.99ea. w/rewards card
*Great to have when packing school lunches…can never plan too early!

(1) Hawaiian Punch, 3pk, $0.99ea. w/rewards card
*Same notion

(1) Dentyne Pure Gum, $1.29
-use $1/1 Dentyne Pure Gum, any pack – 06-13-10 SS
-use $0.50 Dentyne Pure Gum, Rite-Aid Q
makes them FREE plus $0.21 overage

(1) Dentyne Pure Gum, $1.29
-use >BOGO Dentyne Pure Gum ~Tearpad

(2) Nabisco Peg Bags, $0.57ea.
-use $1/2 Nabisco Cookies, Crackers, or Peg Bags, Rite-Aid Q -thanks Maleca!

Rembrandt Toothpaste,
-use $3/1 Rembrandt Toothpaste (PRINT)
-use $1/1 Rembrandt Toothpaste, Rite-Aid Q

….knowing me, when I get into the store, things may change so I’ll add a pic later.

For those of you entering in Sav-a-Lot this week, here is the current coupon list:

My family enjoy spending time together, watching movies, playing games, going on vacation, reading, wrestling with Daddy…the list goes on and on. When I was contacted by BlogSpark to host a giveaway for the Penguins of Madagascar: Project Penguin Launcher I immediately replied. I love watching the children’s faces light up at a new challenge, and this opportunity did not disappoint.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Project Penguin Launcher consists of four (4) missions:

Mission One: Dive In, Solider

Set an empty plastic cereal bowl on the table and try to pop your Penguin into it. Wear a helmet or you’ll be squid bait.

The children were a little quiet on this mission. I’m not sure if they were really concentrating or if they felt uncomfortable with the Penguins. After a bit of practice though…”watch out below” ;)! I wasn’t concerned too much with the idea of the objects hitting someone as they are bordered with a soft, flexible plastic and

Mission Two: Longest Penguin Propulsion Launcher

Challenge your troops to see who can launch a Penguin the farthest. Go long or go back to the zoo.

The boys enjoyed this one, but my oldest daughter was making sure they didn’t leave her behind!

Mission Three: Target Practice

Create a landing zone with a spoon and try to strategically drop your Penguin into the sweet spot. Hit the target or go back to the drawing board.

By far the most difficult challenge. This one took a great deal of coordination!

Mission Four: Clear the Wall

Do you have enough projectile pop to push your Penguin over the top of the box? Proceed launchin’ troops, earn those wings!

I think this was their favorite tasks! Of course, we were laughing so hard looking at each of them trying to figure out just the right spot to hit the launchers to have their Penguins clear the box. This almost felt like the longest Target Practice mission as all of the Penguins were flying way pass the boxes :)!

Think you have what it takes to be successful at the challenges? Where here’s your chance!

Here’s how to enter:

Leave a comment –Share with us your child’s favorite character from Penguins of Madagascar? Which episode made them laugh the hardest?

Legal Disclaimer: I was provided a prize pack, information, and an additional prize through MyBlogsparkTM for one of my readers, to conduct the Project: Penguin Launcher by General Mills and Nickelodeon. All expressed reactions to the “challenge” are thoughts of my own.

General Mills is giving away free samples to Spanish speaking US citizens.

I actually receive the Que Rica Vida publication, which contains awesome recipes, and of course, COUPONS! I just used the $1/1 Honey Nut Cheerios on yesterday at Publix…paired with the $1/1 Cheerios (Publix Q) from the Baby Club I was able to reap a 17oz. box for $0.50 (they’re BOGO this week!) Click the image above to request your samples TODAY!

I really would like to apologize for the lack of posts as of late. Over the course of the past two days I’ve experienced some extremely difficult challenges in which I need to fight through in order to be strong for myself, family, and each of the readers who take the time to visit each day.

Although I won’t go into the specifics I must say that in all you go through make it a point to never allow anyone else to dictate your future, your thoughts, nor your pure actions. I knew I truly enjoyed helping others avoid going through what my family and I had over the course of many years, but I never knew just how much until yesterday when I felt as though part of my soul was ripped out…yes, to me, it was that serious. Now, looking back on it, with the help of some really awesome people who were there to talk me through it, I can see God’s hand in it…showing me, even the more, that He is to get all of the glory from this and that I truly could not make it without His guidance.

I shared with my husband that I saw no way around this…I really wanted to stop blogging and simply crawl in a corner for awhile. When you work so hard everyday to share with others a mission so important to you and then hear something that makes you feel as if you are insignificant your whole way of thinking shifts and creates thoughts that simply should not exist.

Although there are hundreds of people visiting each day, it is rather quiet here most of the time so I don’t know from day to day how to be of service to you in a way to keep the site productive. I do thank God for the ones sending e-mails and leaving comments as this assists with sharing relevant information. If there are things that are posted here that you would like to see more of, let me know, if you are seeing some of the same things over and over again from other sites in your feeds and rather not see them here when you visit, let me know that as well.

I pray that each of you go out each day, work your hardest, accomplish all your goals, seed into the lives of others, remembering to expect a harvest in return, and NEVER allow the successes or failures of another determine where you would go in life. I pray for your continued strength and prosperity!

….now let’s get back to reaping our harvests!

Reaping In Abundance,
Kay

*Remember you can stack this with the Rite-Aid $2/1 Huggies Video Q when shopping at Rite-Aid or Publix.

Game plan for Publix today was to grab a couple more packs of Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue. Seems everyone else may have had that same game plan as they were completely out-of-stock! I recalled Hubby mentioning we needed milk and bread prior to me leaving the house and I still had plans to head on over to Rite-Aid for a Glad Trash Bag scenario…with that in mind I added in Hubby’s requests and tossed in trash bags to take the place of the tissue.

This harvest was done in two transactions.

Here’s what we reaped:

-thanks for the heads up Collin

We’re near the end of another month which means a release of new coupons on the major websites. Make sure you print them now as there is no guarantee they will be available on Sunday (8/1).

Today I decided to shift from the tissue and paper towel and focus on trash bags…I actually was only going to work on this item at Rite-Aid but when Publix was out of Cottonelle Tissue (WOW!) I ended up grabbing more there…OK, back to Rite-Aid…

Here’s what we reaped:

(2) Glad Trash Bags, $5.99 ($1 UP)
-no coupons (sighs…here’s the sad part, I have the $0.50/1 Glad Rite-Aid coupon, but failed to print it from my rewards before leaving the house and I didn’t cut out the ones that were in the 6/6RP…more money out the window…geesh! To redeem myself, I may return to work the same transaction again and take my coupons this time 😉 )
